Spending a holiday in a different location with your family is one of the best things you can do together. This California family, on the other hand, would rather go on a trip to Mexico to rescue dogs.
Every two months, they went there. It’s one of their best activities that made them more attached to each other. They enjoy assisting abandoned dogs and helping them find homes.
As per record, they have saved six to twelve dogs every day, with up to twenty dogs rescued on rare occasions. They do this activity since 2001 and saved almost 10,000 dogs. They continue to save those stray dogs and show the world that there are a lot of dogs out there who need a home.
The family’s one-of-a-kind holiday
When they arrived in of the cities in Mexico, there were several dogs on the streets. They are unhealthy and malnourished. They need special treatment. The family started to rescue them one by one though these dogs are difficult to obtain, since they are still fearful of humans.
Once captured, the dogs are sent to the animal clinic after they were picked up from the street. The vet checked and monitored their health. Then, they were either sent to the Animal Rescue House or the family’s animal shelter after they have been cleared.
They’re looking for people who want to foster the puppies
Each members of the family helped each other in taking care of those stray dogs. They looked after them from time to time, ensuring that the dogs ate the proper food and were in good health.
Then, the family transported the dogs to the United States, specifically to the state of California, where their shelter is located in the hopes of finding people willing to adopt them. Fortunately, many came to their shelter to adopt those dogs.
