When someone has a good heart, they help so much. And, their simple act of kindness, big or small, can make a tremendous impact on each and everyone’s life, be it human or dogs.
A good and kind-hearted woman, Patricia Wilson, donated money to Richland County Dog Shelter amounting to $30,000 as part of her final will. She wanted to leave something behind to help the rescued dogs under the shelter’s care. The said donation will be spent not only for dogs to have healthy well-being but also for them to get adopted easily.
As for the organization, the large sum of money can sustain and support the shelter for at least another year. They can even lower the adoption fees at an affordable price so people can manage to pay. After all, that was Patricia’s special request when she initiated the donation herself.
Also, another part of the said donation will be allocated purposely for the leisure activities of the dogs while staying at the shelter. It will be used for the renovation of the play yard and the construction of an additional play area so these dogs can freely move in and out of the playground all day.
Thanks to Patricia’s act of kindness and generosity, the rescued dogs not only have a place for them to stay, but they can also indulge themselves in recreational activities at the same time.
The shelter even decided to name the newly built play park after Patricia to show their gratitude. The donation she left goes a long way and had accomplished so much. Dogs can now be adopted easily due to the lower fees, and they also get to enjoy themselves while waiting for the perfect family to come by. Hence, the shelter is at present looking forward to more families to visit and provide forever home for their adorable rescued pups.
