Echo, a Great Dane, had it rough during her younger years. At 12 weeks old, people at the shelter for dogs noticed that she was born blind and deaf. Thankfully, just before undergoing euthanasia, she was adopted by a kindhearted woman named Marion Dwyer.
Marion wholeheartedly took Echo home and gave her a good life she deserves. She experienced a lot of love, care, and compassion with Marion despite her disabilities. But it didn’t just stop there. When Marion got pregnant, Echo got to experience being a big sister.
Though she may be deaf and blind, she still somehow knew that there was a baby inside Marion’s tummy. Throughout the pregnancy, Echo showed nothing but love and support.
At last! Marion gave birth to a baby girl which they named Jennie. When Jennie came along, the canine quickly formed a beautiful bond with the little girl. And of course, in just a few months, they became the best of friends.
As seen in the video, the pair is taking a stroll along the sidewalk. They actually do this every single day. Jennie enjoys having Echo with her and insists that she holds Echo’s leash. And of course, both of them have sunglasses, just like what a couple of girl best friends do!
Jennie has been caught sneaking some food for Echo during meals and Echo, in return, is so protective of the little girl when they are out in public. Aren’t they adorable?
Marion feels safe knowing that Jennie is growing up with a lovable dog at her side. This just shows that even though a dog is deaf and has limited sight, they can still show a lot of love and care towards humans.
Here’s the heartwarming video of how Echo and Jennie enjoy each other’s company.
